Program 2020-21 63rd Call for projects

Agri bio-food I

CRIBIQ launches its 2020-2021 collaborative research program to stimulate the setting up of innovative projects in the bio-food sector. This call is part of the organization support program (PSO) of the Ministère de Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI). You will find more information and the program's funding standards in the 2020-2021 DEPOSITOR'S GUIDE.

The bio-food sector is strategic for Quebec because of its essential role in terms of food, economic development and its impact in the regions. It brings together the animal production (cattle, pig, poultry, marine, etc.), plant production (cereals, oilseeds and protein crops, fruits and vegetables, seaweed, etc.), food processing and health foods and functional bio-ingredients.

This year 2 new areas of research are added:

  • Technologies associated with artificial intelligence (eg precision farming, etc.)
  • New cultivation techniques (eg vertical, greenhouse, urban, etc.)

To submit your project, we recommend that you complete the Letter of Intent (LOI) form and a preliminary funding budget no later than June 18 at 5 p.m.

Although this step is optional, we strongly recommend that you consider it in order to validate the eligibility of your project.

Do not hesitate to contact Cristina Marques responsible for the bio-food sector to guide you through the deposit process.
