Quebec, February 11, 2021 – Since February 8, 2021, the CRIBIQ has welcomed in its team Mr. Jean-Philippe Chenel as a Director of Innovation. He will mainly assume the accompaniment of our industrial members and public research institutes in their quest for innovation in the sectors of the biosourced economy.
Holder of a PhD in Water Sciences from the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), Mr. Chenel brings with him solid experience in bioprocesses, particularly in the production of industrial bioproducts and the valorization of bioresources through fermentation at the laboratory and pilot scale. Prior to joining CRIBIQ, Mr. Chenel had been, since 2010, the Director of the Technocentre in Trois-Rivières, a technology incubator specializing in industrial bioprocesses and environmental technologies that offers technical and scientific services as well as specialized equipment for pre-commercial fermentation. He then became Director of the Parc Micro Sciences Trois-Rivières, managing two business incubators, the Technocentre (bioprocesses) and the Novocis (IT and electronics). For about ten years, he accompanied many companies in the start-up and development of their technologies.
