The first edition of the conference "Eco-Packaging: Exploring New Frontiers" brought together 300 participants from the industrial, scientific, innovation support, and economic development sectors.

Key challenges and issues facing the sector were discussed, including: provincial and national initiatives for plastic reduction and eco-design of packaging, challenges and opportunities related to the transition to eco-packaging in Europe, food packaging performance, challenges for companies looking to embrace this shift, as well as bio-based packaging and promising research and development initiatives.

The second edition of the conference, under the theme "Eco-Packaging: Innovate - Develop - Implement", will focus on transforming ideas into concrete actions. Its goal: to help businesses strengthen their innovation capacity in a landscape of constant uncertainty.

This event, organized by CRIBIQ, ITEGA, and Innofibre, with financial support from Natural Resources Canada, will take place on April 9-10, 2025, at the Club de Golf Métropolitain in Montreal.
