(Video) Sustainable innovation from the sea: CRIBIQ and Organic Ocean reveal a breakthrough for agriculture

CRIBIQ is proud to present a new video produced in partnership with Organic Ocean Inc. and produced by Le Dock Studio, highlighting a transformative project for sustainable agriculture.

Alongside Claude Côté, Director of Innovation at CRIBIQ, and Martin Poirier, CEO of Organic Ocean, this video immerses us in innovations in the bioeconomy that make sustainable use of local marine resources.
In this project, supported by BTM Propulsion, an innovative granular biostimulant has been designed, based on a controlled-release nutrient technology. This biostimulant, formulated from ascophyllum, a seaweed sustainably harvested from the St. Lawrence estuary, releases active compounds at key stages of plant development. It thus contributes to increased agricultural productivity while respecting the environment.

Key points of this project :

  • Performance and sustainability: Thanks to a new drying technology, this biostimulant optimizes plant growth with a reduced carbon footprint.
  • Valorization of local bioresources: By capitalizing on the resources of the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, the project fosters job creation and opens up marketing opportunities.
  • Global impact: Used in Canada and exported, this biostimulant is proof of a Quebec innovation supported by CRIBIQ.

We are proud to contribute to projects that promote the bioeconomy, innovation and sustainable agriculture in Quebec.
